(MedPage Today) -- Case Study: This 38 year-old female presents with an exanthem on her palms and soles associated with a
sensation of skin tightness. No viral prodrome was noted. The patient has a neutral sexual
history, is generally healthy, and takes no medications. She has no constitutional symptoms.
Her past medical history is significant for a spontaneous DVT in her calf 2 years earlier. A
biopsy of the lesion demonstrates microthrombi.
